21. 바벨탑의 교훈
부패와 타락은 인간의 가장 큰
약점이요, 이는
하나님과의 약속을 저버린 증거라 할 것이니,
성을 쌓아 이름을 남기고
하늘까지 이르러
비를 내렸던 원망의 창문을 들여다보고 싶었을까.....
인간의 오만이 가장 절정에 이르자,
하나님은
그들의 언어를 혼동에 빠뜨려
마침내, 우상화(하나님에 대한 저항) 되어버린
토목공사를 중시시키니, 그 이름을 바벨이라하고,
민족은 온 지표에 흩어지게 되었음이라........
Genesis 11: 4
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city,
and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven;
and let us make us name, lest we be scattered
abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
Deuteronomy 4: 23
Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget
the covenant of the Lord your God, which he
made with you, and make you a given image,
or the likeness of any thing which the Lord
thy God hath forbidden thee.
Genesis 11: 7
Go to, let us go down, there confound their
language, that they not understand one another`
speech.
11:8
So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence,
upon the face of all the earth: and they left off(stop)
to build city.
11:9
Therefore is the name of it called Babel, because
the Lord did there confound the language of all
the earth, and from thence did the Lord scatter
them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
