35. 이곳을 하나님의 전(殿)으로 삼고
꿈에서
깨어난 야곱은 돌베개를 가져다가
기념비를 세우고
이곳을 벧엘(Beth-el)이라고 부르니,
이는 여호와 하나님께서
하늘과 땅 사이에 사다리를 놓아
하늘 문을 열어 놓으신
하나님의 집이라 이르심이니,
야곱의 간절한
서원(誓願) 기도가 세세무궁토록
기억나게 하는 야곱의 하나님, 즉 나의
하나님이 지금도 우리들의 서원을 들으심이라.........
Genesis 28:18
And Jacob rose up early in the morning,
and took the stone that he had put for
his pillow, and set it up for a pillar, and
poured oil upon the top of it.
28:19
And he called the name of that place
Beth-el : but the name of that city was
called Luz at the first.
28:20
And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God
will be with me, and will keep me in
this way that I go, and will give bread
to eat, and raiment to put on,
28:21
So that I come again to my father`s
house in peace. then shall the Lord
be my God:
28:22
And this stone, which I have set for
pillar, shall be God`house : and of all
that thou shalt give me I will surely
give the tenth unto thee.
